ESG Consulting is the data controller for personal data we hold. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
What we collect
When you contact us through our website, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message.
In delivering services, we also process data shared by email, video conference and our project management tools. This includes contact details, project information and any personal data contained in documents you provide.
How we use it
We use your data to:
- respond to your enquiry (legitimate interests)
- deliver the services agreed in the statement of work (performance of a contract)
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations (legal obligation)
We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data about page visits, device type and browsing behaviour via cookies. This data is processed by Google on our behalf and is not used to identify individual visitors.
How long we keep your data
Client and project data is retained for 5 years after the end of an engagement. Enquiry data is kept until the enquiry is resolved. You can request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct inaccurate data
- request deletion of your data
- object to or restrict processing in certain circumstances
- data portability
- complain to the ICO if you believe your data has not been handled correctly
